Sushant
Singh Rajput’s Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! is playing quite safe at the box
office. The murder mystery, that released on Friday got a decent opening,
collecting Rs 4.20 crore on its first day.
However, the second day figures saw a steady growth. Trade analyst and
film critic Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and gave out its overall box office
numbers.
The Dibakar
Banerjee directorial released across 1240 screens in India. However, the box
office figures are fluctuating for the fact that Paul Walker’s much anticipated
film Furious 7 released just one day before Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! hit
screens. Of course, we can’t compare the two genres. But the number of screens
certainly play a role. Furious 7 is believed to have got the widest release in
India, as far as Hollywood films are concerned which explains why the racing
franchise has already shot up to a whopping box office figure of Rs 32.75 crore
in two days.
